Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t like watermelon ? I have never ! Yummy to the tummy natural goodness, watermelons contain 91% water and 6% sugar by weight, making this fruit a very tasty way to stay hydrated this summer. Their high water content makes watermelon dissolve very quickly in the mouth, without much chewing necessary. Watermelon is also full of vitamins and minerals (Vitamins C, B1 and B6, beta-carotene, lycopene, potassium, magnesium…)
Watermelon can be a great finger food for babies and toddlers (and everyone else!), because it has a soft consistency, but baby can still pick it up. It’s perfect on a hot day.
