  • Coneflower As Amazing as You Are

When I saw the new Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Coneflower I immediately went and purchase it. I loved the look of this layered flower. I cut all the layers and leaves from white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. The die does not come with stems and I wanted to add them to the flowers for this card, so I pulled out the stems from the Altenew Craft-a-Flower Cosmos and cut them from white cardstock and colored them the same as the leaves. It is easy to assemble the flowers, you ju

  • Happy Birthday Blog Hop

It's time for another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop! Our theme this month was to showcase the new Jan - June mini products, and there are TONS of new goodies in this catalogue! I started with a black card base and added a panel of True Love DSP. The assorted black and white patterns are so versatile and can be coloured, sponged, or left alone, as I have here. The Pieced Blooms dies are the hidden gem in this catalogue. I didn't see them the first six or seven times through! But they are my most used item by far. I even organized my entire Spring Virtual Weekend Retreat around these dies, they add the most beautiful details to a project. For this card I die cut a variety of the flowers from Petal Pink cardstock and sponged the centre of each flower with Rococo Rose ink. Layered behind the flowers is a die cut from the Flowering Vine die set. Another easy to miss set in this chock-full catalogue, but one that has a mighty impact! The pretty pierced label is also from the Pierced Blooms set--you seriously get so many dies!! The sentiment is from the Pretty Parasol set, which is in the annual catalogue but a new purchase for me. I have used this sentiment tons already. For a final touch I always like to add some sparkle to the centre of my flowers, in this case I used rhinestones but there are some new Gilded Gems in the mini that are perfect for this purpose too. I kept the inside of my card simple with a "happy birthday" sentiment from the new Oval Occasions set, and another die cut flower and stem. I've fallen in love with cutting the leaves out of white cardstock instead of green--it gives a very different, subtle and elegant look. Thanks for hopping by today! Please be sure to hop along to see what the rest of our team has for you this month. And if you're interested in any of the products featured on my card today, you can find them in my online store. And if you like my project I hope you'll follow me on Facebook or Instagram for more daily ideas. • Taylored Expressions - Easter Cards

Hello, friends! Holy Week is upon us, and I am preparing to send out Easter cards to my family and friends. I was happy to get a chance to play with two different sets of Easter stamps from Taylored Expressions. Let's get right to it! My first two cards feature the "Spring Wreath" Layering Stencil and coordinating dies (for one version). The sentiment on the outside of the card is from the "Handlettered Easter" set, stamped in black ink and then embossed with diamond embossing powder for some sparkle. The Bits and Pieces Drip Drops were the perfect finishing touch. The wooden plank background is an Impression Obsession image stamped using Hero Arts Soft Wheat ink. All other inks used in these projects are from Taylored Expressions. The next version of this card is the same as the first, except this time I die cut the wreath and popped it up on black foam for dimension. Inside the cards, I added a sentiment from the "The Inside Scoop - Easter Blessings" set. How versatile! I love this stamp set so much! __________________________________________________________________________ For my second trio of cards, I used the same sentiment sets noted above, but this time I designed the card base around the "Third Day Border" die and "Here Comes the Sun" stencil. Using a variety of TE inks and some masking, stenciling, and in some cases paper-piecing, I came up with three different versions of a similar card design. I can't decide which I like best! On this version, I used a glitter pen to add glitter to the sun rays...a very subtle effect. All of these cards have this sentiment on the inside... I hope those of you who celebrate it have a very blessed Holy Week and a glorious Easter. Thanks, as always, for stopping by! Judy
